I was in conversation with a person a few weeks ago, who questioned the authority of the Bible scriptures, and questioned if Jesus Christ was God? This should not catch us by surprise today….why? We are told in the last days….strange doctrines will come.
(2 Timothy 4:3-4).
As believers today it is important to know a few facts concerning the Bible and Jesus Christ as Lord.
- The Theme of The Bible is Jesus Christ.
- The Bible is the oldest preserved manuscript known to man.
- The Bible was written by man, but they were under complete control of God to write. (1 Peter 1:20)
- The Bible is given by inspiration (God breathe) therefore it is God living Word
- The Bible was written by over forty authors around the world at different time periods.
- Bible prophecy has been fulfilled from the time it was written until today.
- Bible prophecy has been fulfilled proving that Jesus Christ is God. (John 1:1-5) (John 1:14).
- Jesus Christ birth was prophesied many years before it would happen (Isaiah 9:6) (Isaiah 7:14) (Micah 5:2) (Zechariah 9:9).
- Jesus Christ death was prophesied many years before it would happen (53:3-6)
10. There is no other book known to man that has life changing power.
Our hope is that you will see how Jesus Christ had a plan for your life, and that He came to save you. This is known as salvation. There is no cost for one to be saved because Jesus Christ paid the cost on the cross at Calvary. You can be saved right now if you are reading this. Just say this prayer.
“Lord Jesus, I believe you are God, I believe you came to save me from my sins. Lord please forgive me for my sins. I believe you came and you died upon the cross, and the third day you rose from the dead just as the scripture teaches (1 Cor. 15:4). Lord come into my heart and make my heart your home. Teach me to live for you. I now thank you for coming into my life in Jesus Christ name I pray
Amen.”
